Chase Bank Alert

So you receive an email indicating someone is trying to access your Chase bank account.  Doesn't matter if you have a Chase bank account (I don't, but still received the email).

Let's take a closer look.

First, the email itself.

#1 - Does not look like a Chase Bank email address.

#2 - Not even my email address

#3 - If you hover you mouse over the "[UPDATE HERE] link (Do NOT click, just hover), you can see the site where this click would take you.

#4 - Spammers and scammers will try to add that urgency to their request, but setting a time or date in the near future to scare you to click on the link.

So where does this link go?

So it will redirect to a ".ru" site - which is in Russia.  Probably NOT Chase friendly.

Look at this reputation of this site:

And I have to say, this behavior is NOT normal:

All good indicators that this email is NOT legitimate.  And especially if you do NOT have a Chase account laughing
